Senior Embedded Engineer
Build the software inside battery and energy devices, working closely with our partners in Belgium.
About the role
You will design and build the software that runs inside battery and energy devices, from the first prototype to the version that ships. You will work with our partners in Belgium and with our cloud and support teams, so what you build is easy to update and look after once it is in the field.
What you will do
- Design, write and test the software inside battery and energy devices
- Get new hardware boards running and keep them stable
- Set up automated testing on real hardware
- Plan safe remote updates with the cloud team
- Review code and mentor less experienced engineers
- Document your work so it can be handed over cleanly
What we are looking for
- Several years of professional experience writing software for devices, ideally in C or C++
- Experience with software that has to react on time
- Comfortable reading schematics and working with hardware engineers
- Clear written and spoken English
- A habit of testing your own work
